Gday all,
I'm pretty much fresh over from Australia (been here about 1 1/2 weeks and bloody lovin it here!) and I'll be getting my rig shipped over before long. I've been staying with a mate in Surrey who is also into a bit of riding but wants to get more into it. So I'm wondering if there's some cool trails around the Surrey area (and beyond btw!) that would/may accomodate for my ride style, which is lite DH/FR, technical DH & fast flowy single track.
cheers!
Mik.

Dunno if you'd noticed, but Surry's lacking in the hill department [;)]
Wales though, Wales is not lacking in the hill department.

You want to go and check out Esher Northshore. Brilliant ride spot built by Rob Cole for freeride and dirt jumping. Here's the link www.eshershore.com. Read all the requirements carefully and get in contact if you're still not sure. In terms of downhill, seeing as Surrey isn't such a hilly area and the landowners tend to be quite rich and crotchety, there are very few if any decent freeride or downhill tracks. Milford has a very good jump park if you fancy a bit of DJing based in Rodborough Common, Milford. Ask around as it's a popular ride spot. Good luck and maybe i'll see you around the ol' county!

Awesome, thanx fellas. Yeah, I did notice that Surrey isn't too hilly.. but a lot moer than the London area! (where I stayed for my first week) but I've heard heaps about Wales so I'm definitley keen to check it out, and also cheers omblae - I'll look into that area and have a squiz at that site for sure.0
