EasyJet Baggage Allowance

Don't know if this has been posted and CBA searching.

This year's Easyjet rules seem to be:

20k hold baggage + 12k sports (if you have paid the œ30 supplement).
Excess baggage has gone up to œ6/k (was œ4 last year).

So typically I reckon the average DHer might be getting hit with œ50 each way excess if they aren't careful.

Time to start sharing shampoo & toothpaste etc!

if your main hold luggage only ways 10kg, then can you use 22kg in your bike bag though?

i have no idea how much my bike weighs, but its an 06 stinky (stock components)

i also have helmet(s), body armour, few tools etc to take. I will wear lots of cloths! (hand luggage probs for clothes). i can't imagine i'll be much over 32kg (hopefully)

Last year i managed 25kg for bike/bag, and 10kg for luggage. It was œ5 extra per kg, so i paid œ15.
Didnt have to pay anything at Geneva on the way back, you check yourself in!

Just come back from Spain, booked bike carriage on the 'old' rules - combined 50kg, they changed the policy to 43kg a few days before we flew, luckily being old & cynical I got a confirmation email at the time of booking which I showed them at checkin. They still wanted to charge me extra but I insisted on speaking to a supervisor who then waved us through.
