Well i bought a Full face before i properly got into Djing, i now use it a fair bit of the time for Djing. Dont do any DH etc so....
But ye, i'd personally prefer having the serecrity of a face left if i fell off bad.
Nose, Eyes, Cheeks, Ears, Jaw, Mouth/teeth. Are all protected:D

you'll be surprised at just how much a full face lid can boost confidence. knowing that if you fall, theres less chance of paramedics sweeping your face up before leaving for hospital [;)]

I've always liked full facing it, but on a longer trail it can be uncomfortable

Depends whether you want a face or not. I ride DJ and street with a piss pot and everything else with a full face. I have been tempted to wear full face on DJ though.

I use my full face when I'm intending to push myself a fair bit, or when it's raining!
I could really do with a new one though, it's an ancient Met Atilla. Still in excellent condition though (bought it as a replacement not long before I stopped riding a few years ago), but I've been told that you should replace them every so often anyway.
Sorry to hijack, but does anyone know where I can get a decent peak for the Met? It would still look allright if it wasn't for the tiny retro peak!

Used full face for a month. Didn't like it, never got used to it. I feel more free flowing and even safer with my piss pot on, probably because i trust myself to get out of the way of the tree before i hit it.

I've got one of those Bell Bellistics. I reckn a good all-rounder; light (under 1kg), not too bulky and good design - breathy and not visually or in any way restricting (I reckn). So I find it's good from anything from DH to aggressive trail0

I only ride downhill on my hardtail. I splashed out on a troy lee d2, for the reason that I value my head. Just because you ride a hardtail doesnt mean you are in less danger than someone on a fully

Once you've smashed a full face helmet in an accident, you'll never really feel safe without one.

Yeah I tend to wear my D2 for a lot now, always wear it on my local northshore, Dirt jumps and DH's etc. Just feel that bit more safer in it

Stick with the mullet, I find full face hats far too warm.

Full Face on trails is dodgy, in the experiences I had it was harder spotting my landing properly etc.
TBH for trails a Skate Style lid is all you need.

to be honest, its is simply up to you, no amount of advice can change your personal preferences, i wear my full face all the time, may be because thats all i have but think about it, your whole face is protected!! but like i said, its up to you personally

If I'm riding 4x, or messing about on my local DH, on my hardtail, I will wear a full face.
