• I wouldnt even pay for a Dull. There the shi<s></s>ttest things in the world.

Ok

1. They use cheap parts
2. There Dell parts that they have had made for them, and changing parts usually ends up in tears as the other dell components don't like it, I have also tried to upgrade one before and had this problem so i don't expect to be told im bullsh<s></s><s></s>itting.
3. The software that comes with Dull is fu<s></s>cking awful, i thought what Acer did was bad untill i used a Dell.
4. The amount of restrictions they put on you with there PC's as standard.
5. All of the above x2.

Dammit thats what I was going to say.

Dell suck, thats the bottom line, you should have built one yourself, or supported your local computer shop, then if everyone did that Dell might go out of business, (I wish).

Dell are bad because:
They come with 'Dell' on the box.
Everyone's got one.
They're difficult to upgrade.

Dell are good because:
They're generally sensibly specced.
They offer good customer support.
They're generally very good value for money if you're not willing to custom build.

So they're shit in the same way and for the same reasons as, say, Specialized Hardrocks are?

In that they're perfectly fine for a 'beginner' or novice, but once you get a bit more serious they'll not really do.
For the vast majority of people buying Dells, they're perfectly adequate.

It's because they wish to be able to put Linux, and general other sh<i></i>it on the computer, so a Dell isn't adequate if you are a geek basically.

I'd go for something like a Dell, if I couldn't get a decent spec one for trade price, due to my mum being an I.T Teacher in a big school.

Sorteddd.

All I use it for is t'internet, Photoshop, msn and music.

They have indeed.

Linux will probably cause less headaches than Windows if you want to do a fresh install without Dell's added stuff, due to having more drivers built into the OS.

SO at the end of all thet, congradulations on your new Dell Ben, should be awesome as long as you don't try and overclock everything in it, add home made cooling systems and use it to try and figure out the meaning to life.

[tongue in cheeck]Yeah, Dell are so bad, and crap, that only idiots use them.
That's why they're everywhere in the F1 paddocks, and they seem to breed at WRC service parks. Because racing car teams are stupid, and don't understand technology.[/tongue in cheeck]
