Bike rack!?!

I'm after a rack to fit on both a hatchback (06 Vectra) and fastback (56 Leon) that will keep my spesh 'hopper safe and sound while I drive up to wee bonny Scotland for some 7stanes trail riding. There seems to be a few different manufacturers selling products at a fair few different prices. I don't want to get anything rubbish so any opinions of what people think are the best buys would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Not roof mounted, probably boot mounted, budget of œ100 give or take depending on quality. Ability to hold 3 bikes.Specialized Rockhopper '07

3 bikes.
for ease of loading and lack of damage to the bikes. get Tow bars mounted and get a tow bar mounted one that holds the bikes buy the wheels.
or get one that has the 2 ples that go through the frames and the bikes end up resting on each other.
my first carrier was about a tenner the second was abour 50 and this one about 200-300. all worked on a tow bar. mine was circa 150.
just my thoughts and experiances.

This is what i'm thinking of - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.a ... 203%20Rack
(hopefully i've done that right)
I don't want to fit a tow bar onto my car if I can help it, so the boot mounted ones seem to be swaying my decision.Specialized Rockhopper '07

the bones is good but you have to make sure the feet are clean or you will kill the paint.

I have a bones. They're good... But be prepared to see slightly odd bouncing bikes as they have quite a bit of flex to them. Nothing dangerous... Just looks damn odd.
