Hi,
Newbie here. I am needing to replace the Front forks on my GT RTS-2. Any suggestions?
Secondly, Girlfriend is looking to spend c700 quid on a new bike. We are looking at a Trek 6700 Disc. Has anybody got feedback on this bike?
Many thanks
Pete

Yerr right to replace a fork on a bike designed for what 50-65mm of travel?
the shortest travel out there new is the TXC from marzocchi but i have not looked at the axel to crown height. TBH get down to your local bike shop and see what they can do. they might have some new old stock. also check the steerer tube diameter as most are now 1 1/8th inch.

Thanks Nick
Will get down to local shop.
Any feedback on a Trek 6700 Disc? G/F is about to buy one and we could do with some idea of what they are like.
Many thanks

I had one of these back in the day, loved it to buts. 80mm forks will work on the frame at a push. How much do you want to spend on your forks? Pace RC39 80mm should be fine but there not cheap.
As for a bike for the Girlfriend have a look at the Giant range as they have some very good cheap bikes for women riders.0
