New Hardtail frame hardcore xc styley

Right like the title says i'm debating going in for a new build and getting a hardcore hardtail built up.

Problem being that i want something a bit special and preferably pretty damn light too.

Possible contenders so far are:

Maxlight pha5e
Pace Rc303

or?????????

Ideally something that'll build up nice around the pikes i already own (140mm) but i'm willing to swap them for something really nice.

Open to suggestions please.

Something a bit special, bit pretty and light weight, price isn't really too much of an issue coz i'll be a nice person and prob get one trade.

You have loads of choice. The RC303 is certainly a perfect UK bike. Designed by Yorkshire men to handle the best of British singletrack.

Cove Stiffee and Santa Cruz Chameleon also fit into the requirements. Both are very similar in their approach. Nicolai Argon FR looks a stunner as well.

My money would be with the RC303 though. I don't think its quite as tough as the Chameleon, Pha5e, Stiffee or Argon FR, though. Get a test ride on those bad boys.

I've looked into test rides but it seems nobody anywhere near me has one built up. None of our customers want to buy one and let me borrow it for a ride either lol.

I have always liked the chameeleon but i duno in comparison to the pace it just seems a little plain. Not sure on the angles of the top tube of the pha5e either, looks a lil weird in some pics i've seen.
