My poor car : (

Last wednesday some idot scraped into the side of it, left a nasty scratch and a bit of a dent. Then, on the same night I backed into a metal bollard doing about 20mph, not pretty. And then! Last night, at 2 in the bloody morning I hit a rock in the road, doing just under 60 mph, [V] Engine cut out, I was stuck in the middle of nowhere for an hour in the pissing rain, with four half pissed people. Until I found the immersion switch, (which was in a bloody stupid place).
All in all, some nackered sounding suspension, a wheel with a huge flat spot, and a mashed up tailgate. Driving FTL[V]

maybe you should have looking out of the back window when reversing rather than checking the speedo. just a thought...

lee_erm STFU and learning to drive in DA GHETTO probably werent the best idea. reversing at that speed in an area with bollards is unsafe and could of been a person as easily as a bollard. hitting something big enough to do that much damage surely it was big enough to see and take avoiding action. and as for getting ur car scratched boo hoo who cares0

To be fair, sounds like you need to take your test again [;)]

in all fairness to lee hitting a bollard is easily done. in the grand scheme of things they aren't that noticeable. And far from obvious as your average run of the mill bollard is about 3foot tall, so just below the rear window of your family hatchback/saloon.
though i can't help feel 20mph in reverse is a tad over kill. you only really need to go that fast if your trying something clever like a J turn.0
