i'm very pleased with my dad for buying himself a specialized rock hopper pro disc for fitness and to reward himself for quitting smoking, but, whiles i was messing around with the brakes i managed to almost cut my thumb off on those nasty rotors and have just got back from the doc. beware... [:D]

i sliced it open on the rotor, lots of blood, the works. i can't take a pic at the mo as i'm actually at my dads house and can't use his camera. when i get back home i will take a pic if it still looks bad. [;)]

My mate did somthing similar; he had his bike upside - down (adjusting his front brake) spun the front wheel, + for some stupid reason put his finger in the rotor + then jammed by the fork - LOTS of blood + a trip to the hospital[xx(]

Iv just took the top of my finger off .... its nasty , i was pedaling and the chain was jammed between the cogs so stupid me puts ma finger to put the chain up and put it bk on the first cog ( by the cranks ) and the pressure crush ma finger against the cog and cut straight through
