Im riding an eight month old avalanche 1.0
I need to replace my chain due to neglet, its very rusty and stiff. Do I automatically need to replace the cassette as recomended by retailers? It dosen't appear worn.
Any recomended cassettes/chains on a budget?

if the cassette is not worn and the reason you are replacing the chain is due to neglect rather than it being worn out then leave the cassette.

If the chain's just rusty and stiff, try lubricating it and see if that saves you even more money...[;)]
