Hi im slightly mad and for some random reason i want to go to france for biking!!!!!!! and i dont even want to go to the alps i just want to go to france no real reason. i've decidied im going to go after my GCSE's (which ive just done.i have a fairly large amount of money saved up but i need to decide some things;

Firstly what bike to take is it worth buying a cheap road bike to go down on or just change the tyres on my mountain bike (mythic scirrocco with a fairly light build under 12kg).

Take it on a plane (not sure about the cost) or by train and ferry (the more fun alternative and fairly cheap arround œ70)

To buy panja attatchments and some panja's or to take a large rucksack (large enough to fit a tent in)

If i do choose the plane how do i transport the bike on it??

Cheers

    id get a train to your nearest airport and get a flight out there ( if you boook early enought you could get 1 really cheap, i got a flight for œ30 from glasgow to neice a year ago i booked 6months in advance if you book everything up this year you should get everything sorted quite cheap)...for taking your bike on the train and plane you would need to buy a bike bag, you can get a good one for œ70 of crc (its crcs own make) http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=15325

    have fune :)
