i did mine on the motocross GP if that's any help. Try something like that where you can talk either about the bikes themselves or the individual riders or the rules or even each of the tracks. I chose it just because there is sooo much to talk about and i love it. Perhaps a role model or something!?!
(hope that helped)

u didnt give much detail on what kinda speech it is. I.e. 'persuasive' as i know i had to do loads. One of my mates did a speech having a go about why mountainbiking and motocross doesnt get into mainstream media even though they are soooo talented. That's always a great one as i should imagine you could get really behind the arguement...He did!

Yeah, for fu<s></s>ck sake the sandbox now has a much higher level of literacy than off topic.
Nooberoonies - Use capital letters and some punctuation, please. Most forumites don't appreciate illiteracy.

Just do it on anything you're passionate about and you'll find you can go on for hours, even just make a few notes on what to talk about and then wing it, that generally works for me.
Think yourself lucky you didn't get given a topic, they're bitznits they are, normally anyway, i got given the topic of ASBO's for my communications course which i was forced into for college. I was very proud of that though, i made it through 10 minutes without mentioning the word' chav' once, quite an accomplishment methinks!0 -
I need to do one about someone in a hot air balloon, and you there is only enough room in it for 5 less than the amount of people in the class.
You each pick someone famous, and then say why they should be in the balloon.
I did one 2 weeks ago about different types of bikes, and I would have got an A* but it was too long, 9 min, so I only got an A0 -

Ditto, I did mine on MTBing as well. Mentioned the different 'genres' I take part in, the bits I like (adrenaline, being with mates etc) and the bits I don't (cost and injuries), and also spoke about trail building- satisfaction of your own work and all that.
