My visa statement arrived today, and I wrote a cheque to clear the full ammount.

jeez, I pay mine off every month! My maximum credit is just less than my full monthly income, which is useful.

Its been decreasing since I threw the card in the works shredder.

HD's advice of the day:- Do not get a credit/store card. They are bad, very very bad. If you can't afford it, dont buy it.

When I had my Ann Summers card, I kept forgetting to pay on my due date so kept getting œ30 fines which ended up costing me more than what I bought!
