cwmcarn + surroundings

Hi guys, decided not to go for the Dalby idea, as there doesnt look to be much to challenge us, and have come across Cwmcarn which seems to have been revamped a bit since i last looked at it with the addition of a freeride park. Anyway, the point is that i was wondering what the reviews are of this area in general. The idea being that i would go to Cwmcarn for several days, but is there anything else in the vicinity worth riding??? And there is the possibilty of going on a 2 week holiday with a week in 2 different places, so 1. Cwmcarn, 2. suggestions please[:D]!!! Something similar to Cwmcarn with freeride, DH and other trails

Well if you headed down to Afan and did that lot, not so DH I know, but it would be awsome fun on freeride bikes, then do the really good gorlech trail in brechfa which has just opened, its really really good desgned by some guys from mojo and a 4x track designer, the last decent has some DH sized berms in it, that would be really good fun on freeride bikes. Then perhaps pop into cwncarn on the way back and give the DH run a go?

dh- cwmcarn, rheola, gethin, mountain ash to name but a few - there's afan with 4 trails- whites is a bit freeride and has board walks and small jumps. brechfa forest. try www.mtb-wales.co.uk
