iChat?
Opinions?

Personally, i prefer iChat to msn, but seeing as no-one i know uses ichat, i have a grand total of 2 contacts. So i do use msn more. What about you guys

I use Adium. MSN, Yahoo, AiM, ICQ all in one application. It would support ichat as well but apple are bummers who dont like anyone using their shit.

    MSN's hardly open.

I'd always go with a multi-protocol client if you're into that kind of thing. Using one that just uses one (like MSN or AIM) is like limiting yourself to only recieving e-mails from people using a particular client.

Pidgin (formerly Gaim) is a good multi-protocl chat client. I presume it works under OSX - it certainly compiles on BSD.

    www.pidgin.im i think.

I'd use Ichat if more people I regularily talked to used it. Instead I use aMSN which isnt bad, it occasionaly has the odd bug.

Trillian is another decent, lightweight chat client. It works with AOL, ICQ, Yahoo, and MSN messanger formats. and it's free for the standard version.
