Hi thinking of importing a bike from the USA as it is half the price of what I would pay here. Got family out there so will be getting them to purchase the bike from the shop, then sorting shipping out from this end. Got a few questions that I hope someone will be able to help
1, How do u go on with warranty (I.e. if the frame cracks) do you have any with the UK Scott dealer network
2, What is the rate of the import tax is it 17.5%?

1. Not sure about the warrenty, discuss with Scott.
2. Get your folks in the US of A to mark the package as an "Unsolicited Gift". You may get through without any import duty.

1) In general, the US guys won't cover you unless you're in the states, and the UK guys wont cover you unless you got it through them. So no real warranty.
2) Unsolicited gifts have a maximum value, as far as I know.

there are two bike that ive been looking at is scott ramnsom 10 $2900 or a scott nitrous 10 $1700 any idea where u would find out what the max unsolicited vale would be ?0
