Mono Mini's might have enough power, but the M4 will deffo have enough power.

its just i think the m4s would be a bit overkill saying i have mx2s and they do stop me but want to upgrade.

People happily race one the world cup DH seen with Minis so they are good. I think its more down to disc size rather than caliper. Why not go half half and M4 front Mini rear?0

are you looking at the mono mini's or just the mini's...
the older hopes are better and are light enough

I used a 160 gold-capped mono mini on my HT and full suss and it serviced me fine on DH on both bikes. Great one-finger braking. Although, i just whacked on a 180 XT rear and it has loads more stoping power before it locks up and you can get a pair of them for less than one hope mini.0

The XT is a bigger rotor, and the older hopes are the better brakes though, not the ones with the gold caps in... [:)]

The '07 hope brakes are a big improvement over '06 models. Buy them [;)]

i run minis on my patriot and they have more than enough stopping power for me. Only when I went to alps last summer did i wish i had something more powerful, as they were over heating a bit, but that was more down to my lack of skills to stay of the brakes!
