I am taking up xc cycling again after several years away and was hoping for some help and advice on getting a new bike please.
I am 6'2 and 17.5st so a big lad, just to bear this is mind in my options ;-)
1. 2006 Cannondale rush 1000 - I can get this for œ1000
2. trek ex5 2007 - œ810
3. specialized fsr xc - œ810
4. trek fuel 80 2006 - œ620
As a 'bigger' rider I have been advised that i should head for 4 inches of rear suspension, so this would rule out option 4.
Any help would be greatfully received, and of courseplease feel free to add other suggestions in the same price bracket as above.
Thanks guys and girls

For XC, its generally not really necessary to have full suspension. Unless you so desire a full suspension bike, you could get a lot more bike for your money if you went hardtail.
