Azonic Double Walls on my Caldera?

Hello,

I want to change the bars from stock on my Kona Caldera 2007.
I really like the look of these,

they should be fairly strong and the reviews are good.

But, would 28inch be too wide you think?
I manly ride trails so the length could be an issue, are there any of you who ride Trails or DH with wide bars that could give me any advice please?

I like the white as i have white DMR v8s.

If you find 28 inches too much, just chop them down an inch on either end to 26.

Yeah that is what I have done with my current bars. My reservations with doing that with the new ones would be, because they are double walled they have limited space already to put the grips, shifters etc on..
So didnt want to chop of to much!

I was hoping that there may be someone here who uses them?

Can anyone suggest another bar that would suit, i picked the azonic cause a liked the look of the mainly....

Would like to get white bars.

isn't the caledera an xc bike? not white bars, but the best for your money are some easton ea30's or 50's

Yeah it is mainly, they call it a Back Country HT.
But I just ride whatever is in front of me, I'm not much of a jumper though.

My Brother Has eastons on his Kula.. I do like them.

Unless you have very short grips there won't be much room for cutting down a pyramid bar. I have about 1cm spare on mine.

I run azonic singlewall on my Kona though, cut down to 26" and that rides spot on.

Would the extra inch on either end effect the ride that much? i've only ever had cut downs.

yeah, I run 28" on my scream and that rides just fine but 28" on my Kona was horrid

I can read dog lover head... they are avaliable in white. not shown on the CRC site though.

Pardon me then.
To be perfectly honest, you probably won't notice the double wall strength, and if you're worried about space for grips and levers, etc, you're best off getting some other bars.

i love the way this forum changes words... I've emailed CRC to get the specs of the bars so should find out that way.

Azonic no longer make the pyramid bar. When they did make it, it was availble in silver, black, red or blue.

Well according to what i've been told they did. I don't know much about the bars hence the asking, so i can only go on what i've been told.
