ok so i built up my new Alex DX32 rim onto my rear wheel and ZAPPO! on my second ride, i've created a flat spot [V]

still rideable though but a bit annoyed like.

LOL no, i used a thin FILE to make the valve hole a few mm wider.
the hole is still perfectly round.

dont worry, that was just my poor attempt at sarcasm. Thats just unlucky what happened, it was going to happen sooner or later though.

that's true i suppose.

don't suppose anyone has any tips on reducing the flat spot?
like maybe loosening the spokes around that area and doing normal riding for a bit so it can reshape itself?

I did once take a wheel back apart, stand on the flat side of the rim and pulled it back to shape.

You're pretty much stuck with it though.
