Bottom Bracket Issues

Hi,
Today i realised my crank felt bent so i took arms off to notice the axle was amazingly bent. So i decided to take bottom bracket out i removed one side succesfully (the like spacer one). Then continued to undo other side and the bottom bracket removal bit (where you put the tool in) it just snapped and the thing is still in the frame the undoing bit just came straight off but like 3/4 is still in frame . I have no idea how to get out the bottom bracket now and their is nothing showing except axle. I was wondering if there is any way i can salvage the frame without threading the frame .
Cheers, Craig

Since it's not bolting against nothing, meaning "the bolt lost it's head" the only thing that's keeping it from rotating freely is that the thread is actually stuck. By stuck I mean that it is still hard rotating as when the bolt had a head to push the threads on the frame out. If you hit the axle after apllying wd-40 or something the threads will be left in less stress, and , with some luck and patience, it will probably come off by hand. If you see that it's less stuck but you still can't grip it enough by hand find an old crank and fit it in with a spacer between it and the rest of the bb cup. This will probably get you enough grip.
Worth trying before starting welding stuff.
WD-40? GT-85?? I'd rather use the old AK-47!0 -
Yeh i'll definetly try that before I take it to the bikeshop or at worst start welding but I understand how the welding thing goes now so thats all good. [:)]0

with the welding you basicall want to attach the remains of the cup to the axel and then provide a surface on the axel for a spanner. the welding will burn up the plastic spacers and the grease etc and will be messy smoky and fun.

Worked [:D], soaked it in wd40 from the other side let it soak through and just twisted axle and came straight out [:D].
So like amazingly thanks and all help was really appreciated0 -
sweet when it happens so easy.normally if the ring has broken off the remains are often well stuck.
