Brake pad inserts

im bit confussed bout these so few qs
are they any good
do they work with ordinary V's
do i need any special kit to use em

? do your shoes take inserts? yes then you will need to buy some when the pads were out. No? then buy sme shoes that use the insert system if you want to use them. they are only good if you brake in one direction.
