Tell me bout it, as I'm paying œ20 a month for calls im not making, my current balance is +œ40 I wont see that again, and they refuse to recude it to just the bloody line rental charge.

My net keeps cutting out. i'm sure its the phone line being knackered.

They won't do anything about it atall.

They took 2 months to connect us again when we moved house. Each time 'It'll be 10 days' 'Sorry, we forgot last time. It'll be 10 day'

And now the internet disconnects when the phone rings, or at random intervals, and its nowhere near as fast as it seems to think it is. And we are paying for this....

Line faults currently 6nr in 14 months, thats one every 2 months - usually taking 4 or 5 days to get sorted

every time they test the line and say the fault is within the property

every time i go home, unplug all the phones/modem, try the line

every time the fault is outside the property

BROADBAND

on the 10th May i upgraded to '8meg' broadband, it used to be a 2meg service which actually gave me 1.3 or thereabouts but the upgrade was same monthly cost so i went for it

the following day it went DOWN to about twice the speed of dial up and it hasnt improved since, initially they told me it needed 20 days to 'optimise'

now they tell me that in fact, even if it was working correctly the exchange is only capable of providing 2.4meg at best

it won't be staying, its the crappy one i got with the frame

CK one is in the pipeline, although i cant decide between black or pewter

apart from the front wheel i could build it tomorrow with the bits i already have, but i want it to be just right, you know?

my parents use homecall - uber cheap, like œ35 a quarter with up to 8mb broadband and unlimited free calls to anywhere in the UK, (is also cheaper to call mobiles and other countries than other companyies although you do have to pay a bit extra obviously)

Homecall is now Pipex, we use them. Our bill usually runs to œ45/ month including 8smeg broadband and all the mobile calls.

BT - Just moved into my house at the beginning of the month... so of course the phone was then disconnected as the previous owner didn't want to pay for our usage.
So I rang them up, got connected and was told: "you've got 7 days to change your mind" which I thought was great, we've got a phone line a cheap tariff and if we find someone else we can still move.

So anyway, looked about and found a certain company doing Broadband and Phone for œ20 a month, ring up BT and say I need to cancel, get transferred to no less than 6 people, each person saying "I'll put you onto the right person."
I FINALLY got through to the right guy(ish) who then had the most crap attitude I have ever experienced - I did some time in a call centre and if I'd spoken to a customer like that, I'd have been sacked.
Anyway, was told the 7 days applied to the Tariff - told them mooooooo!! I wasn't told that.
1hour, 30mins later I was cut off because it got to 8 o'clock and the "office was closed".

They suck the big one.
