As short as you like. generally shoulder width apart. its common sense really. run them at whatever is comfortable.

    Slopstyle? LOL!
Is that like a lazy version of Slopestyle? Which i very much doubt you do, as there are only a handful of riders in the UK that do it...

Slopestyle's the new freeride, isn't it?

Anyway, as with anything else, it's mostly personal preference.
If you do lots of tricks that involve spinning the bars (tailwhips, X-ups etc.) you'll want them narrower.
If you do lots of riding in tight, turney places (forests, canyons), you'll want them narrower.
If you do lots of slow but incredibly techy riding, so need lots of control, you'll want them wider.

    i LOL'ed

I wouldnt say slopestyle is freeride. As slopestyle is generally big big wooden thingys on a very short course. Wheras freeride is more natural stuff, out in the forest and longer, more downhill like trails.

    thats my thinking anyhoo.

just to set the record straight, what im actually doing here is i have found a skate park
and there is a 10ft kicker on one side with a downslope on the back of it, i can ride the line
allreadt without problems its just a matter of putting style into it which i where i need a bar trim
hence the question in the fist place. savy

Slopestyle is the new marketing word.
There are No slopestyle courses in the UK, slopestyle just uber dirtjumping really.

Narrow bars don't have any affect on tailwhips and barspins, I've seen people shoot the B's and whips with Full width Slam bars on a BMX, and full width bars on an MTB.
