Morning All

hope y'all cool and groovy :)

Ive just bought a new bike that has spd pedals which Ive never used before. What sort of things should I be looking for in a pair of spd shoes, can anyone recommend some?

All advice is much appreciated, have a good day :)

Well ofcourse just becease your bike has SPD pedals, dousnt mean you need to use them (though i would!)
I assume this is for general XC use...

Got a price range? it makes a big difference...

but generally just make sure they feel NICE (best advice) and your feet must fit securely so you can pull up on the pedal...
I got the Specialized sport mountain shoes, just cause they were the only things i could afford (œ60)

If its you're first time, just get something cheap that fits. if it turns out you don't get on with spd's then you'll regret having spent a lot of money on shoes.

  • I have these only in black, and I find them dead comfy and generally good. I'd recommend trying a few on and seeing what you like though, there're much flashier shoes out there.

Hi thanks for your replies, I quite like the MP66's and are priced nicely too. As far as budget goes it would probably be around œ40. AS Rubber Side Up says I dont want to spend a fortune etc.
