You need to book trips in advance to get descent fares.

There's 6 DH tracks with in 30 mins of each other, there are some DJ's but iirc they need fixing up.

Weatherwise it's like the UK, although we don't get as bad snow and there's only a few places that flood (which isn't very often at all).

Have I missed anything?

I may be in newport I-O-W sometime in the near future. WOuld love to try the DH tracks. Its a work trip so need to smuggle bike.

more expensive to live yep no MOT some tax, you have to rent for 5 years jobs can be iffy meat from isle of man is cheaper in liverpool than there! NHS can be dodgy as can social nice place though

A load of Jersey people without qualies [i.e. no right to live in their own property] end up in the IoM and Guernsey. Have been Thinking of doing it myself to be honest... Although i'd probably prefer guernsey to IoM due to the better weather.

Worst thing about living in the Channel Islands is that when the sea's choppy the bloody cargo boat can't dock... which means that there's no lunchtime foody goodness in Marks & Spencer... and i have to make do with gnawing an overly chewey roll with some mushy stuff inside.
