just got my new rim through and it looks like the valve hole is too small so i'm gonna have to drill it :-(

anyone else had to do this before?

    Pics before you touch it?
Also, would it not be a smarter idea to go to your LBS and buy a ne wtube rather than drilling a brand new wheel?

Ive drilled mine, just get a 6mm bit i think and just drill it, then just file off any sharp bits around the hole. Then your sorted, i wouldn't be too hung up on not drilling it because its new.

i'm not saying it looks difficult.
i'm asking if anyones done it before?

also, am i being paranoid or are these spoke holes too big?
Admittadly this is the first non-eyeletted rim i've ever seen.

oh right, the reason i dont like them is cos i keep breaking the valves on them, somehow.

Oh, and if you dont feel confident ask your dad to do it. Dont use a drill with a steep angle or it'll bite into the rim. Slightly used drills are better for this type of thing unless you know how to drill properly.
