MRP chain device

ok, not sure how well i can explain this but i'll try.
The stab that i've been building has an mrp chain device. As i have been told the chain should run below the top orange thing and above the bottom one to stop it jumping off. But when adjusted so the bottom roller is in position, the top one is far too high to be effective. It seems that the rollers are spaced too far apart, but i see no way of adjusting it.
Anyone else come accross this or got any clues? Help appriciated.

the top one should be at about 12 O'clock and the bottom one whereever. and they should be almost touching the plates. Sys 1 and 2.
what version do you have pics?

nice one louse, cheers for that.
i took it into cyclesurgery this morning, and they tried to fob me off saying that i needed a new chain device as it was the wrong one. bummers. so basically the closer to 12 o'clock the more effective at keeping the chain on it'll be?

well the roller need to be close to the plates to keep the chain on. the top roller needs to be placed so that when the sus compresses fully the chain does not try to rip the roller off.
think about it as the rear wheel goes up the chain gets higher and higher even at the front cog.

ah, now i see the problem, there are no plates, just a bashring and a chianring. eg, nothing on the inside
