I am thinking about building a super light freeride hardtail for around and about and was just wondering if anyone knew of a frame that was super light and can take a beating. My current frame (an azonic DS1) is pretty light but i want a real featherwieght for summer.
Any ideas???

Is there any good freeride stuff to ride in Guernsey?
In Jersey, the only lot I know about is my own private stuff

nah its pretty corr blimey tbh we just go around coastal paths dropping huge sets of stairs and do downhill racing and ride a few private dirt jumps it is a bit gash really.
But Jersey is a corr blimey hole to be fair.Andrew Milton0 -
he wanted a freeride hardtail, not a street bike. how about the norco torrent or even the santa cruz jackal. not too sure about the weight issue though, while we're here, whats your budget?Best quote ever (pinkbike): "i've heard that Hill pees, deffecates, vomits and masturbates before each race to keep the weight down"0

The blender isnt a street bike, Its far better suited to trails/jumps/freeride

Don't listen to the Donkey from Guernsey, Jersey has much more longer and demanding cliff paths than Guernsey.
Also you don't have to disinfect your bike when you leave Jersey as you do when you leave Guernsey[:D]0 -
orange subzero, look on jejames shop website they're œ300.

SubZero is built like a brick corr blimey house though, i doubt it would be very light
Scott Voltage frame is pretty damn light, CRC have it, but its more a DJ frame, so I think it only takes up to 100mm travel without screwing up the geometry
Orange Crush is a lighter version of the SUbZero isn't it?

The subzero can take forks from 140 to 180mm, so it's more FR than the scott. It's probably lighter too.
WD-40? GT-85?? I'd rather use the old AK-47!0 -
Nah, the Scott is as light as anything
But yeah, its not very FR, which is a bit of a problem
I just suggested it becuase I know that its light
But somehting like the Blender would undoubtedly be better suited to the job
