maybe it's cos you have to push down on the pedals. or maybe you sould push it to get it started and then leap on!0

Push suggests human power as opposed to non human power.
I've had whole conversations with people about bikes, only realising halfway through that they're on about motorbikes rather than bicycles.

Especially when you start talking about changing the high-speed compression settings for your forks, or bleeding your callipers. There's a lot of people out there who find such sentences completely alien to their view of mountain bikes!
