Hi,

I wonder if any one could give some advice. I've had a hard tail for a few years and now fancy a full sus.

I was considering the Stumpjumper COMP 07 and then a friend of a friend has offered my his Stumpjumper S-works 05 for the same price. It is used but has only had about 6 months of riding (he had a broken leg). Not sure what to do? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Phil.

I'm pretty sure that Specialized only offer lifetime frame warranties to the original buyer, therefore being the second owner would mean you lose out on that benefit if you break the frame.

  • OK, didn't realise that. Even so which do you think is the better deal?

However if its our friend then the bike could never change ownership if you know what i mean i would go for the SWORKS assuming the condition is good.
Show me your green bits i might buy them !

I use the 05 S-works and it is such a good bike. It climbs really well with masses of grip and on the tight + twisty singletrack it is a dream. Its not a huge fan of very technical terrain, mostly because you can't lower the seatpost enough, but the rear sus is very efficient and plush when you need it.

With that spec I wouldn't hesitate.
