Hi guys,
My brother in law is coming on holiday to the uk for 8 days, and wants to spend them mountain biking in Wales. He is a competent trail rider, so single track is good, but he is not into down hill or anything too hardcore.
I have ridden at Coed y brenin before and reckon that would be ok for a couple of days, but where else is good to ride?
Any suggestions of an itinery, and possible places to stay would be welcome.
Thanks for your help.

Llandegla, marin trail in Betws y Coed.
Where in Wales are you planning on staying? it's a fairly large area.

Something round here tastes bad. Could be plain old bad taste.

If you're planning on doing the Marin Trail and after somewhere to stay over then i'd recommend that you check out this place in Betws-y-Coed - www.thevagabond.co.uk
We stayed there a couple of weeks ago and it is great, also very good value at œ17 per person for B&B. [:D]0 -
In South Wales:
Afan Argoed
Glyncorwyg (just up the road from Afan)
Cwm Carn
Mid Wales:
Nant Y Arian
Coed Y Brennin
North Wales:
Coed Llandegla
(Delamere is also relatively close)

If you make the trip to Afan, it's well worth it and also Gorlech Trail at Brechfa is amazing.
