Just got back from the SDA race this weekend. Drove up friday night and met Crazy Dave C. After erecting the tent and attempting to repair bikes, it became apparent that my front brake had threaded on the caliper. Only one of the bolts would tighten.

I solved it with the king of bodges: ziptie and a twig hammered into the hole to stop it moving, and the other bolt tightened.

Dave gave me his Mono 6ti's though, and I got an adaptor at Off beat bikes in the morning, so never got to ride the bodge.

Managed 7 runs on saturday.

1) Chain fell off chain device and jammed, so chain got removed.
2) Clear run
3) Chain exploded
4) Flat tyre
5) Clear run
6) Flat tyre
7) Changed to Maxxis tube, no flat tyre

One practice run today, got a bo<s></s>llocking off a marshal for stopping to let another rider past (Sunday practice has a no stopping rule). I told him to get to fu<s></s>ck and to stop being a co<s></s>ck. Two race runs. I ache. Too many runs in a weekend.

You mean you cross-threaded it, there wouldn't be a problem if you threaded it.

Fu<s></s>ck knows how I did, I left before they put out the results.

And I guess I cross-threaded it then. The thread from in the caliper was sat on the bolt.

possibley he never did his second run so he may have had an off in his first a bust himself up
