Crank fittings

Right, i have an identiti dr jekyll 03... it came with truvativ husslefelt crank set, with a splined bottom bracket, which is also the year 03. The cranks got rounded, so i bought some new 07 truvativ husslefelt cranks for a splined BB. But the cranks dont go all the way onto the BB, and the cranks also touch the frame, and so does the chain ring. Have the fittings changed or something, as the dont with the same cranks, but from the 03 year.... but the 07 cranks touch the frame... what could be wrong with it? and what can i do to fix it

sorry i will not advise on the howitzer range as they are a right royal pain. and tend to be more work than is needed to get things to fit correctly. normal chain lines are 47.5mm and 50mm.
Howitzer have their own. personally i would send the cranks back and get the correct cranks for your bb.
