Confusion taken to the extreme!

I've put a few posts on recently about my lack of ability to make my mind up on which bike to buy (so sorry if i'm starting to bore you!). I thought i'd made my mind up on the Kona Caldera, but today i saw the Caldera again, and a Spesh Rockhopper Comp Disc, and i have to say i've changed my mind about the Kona now. Again!!
My two options now are the above mentioned Spesh, and the Focus Black Forest. I mentioned the Focus in a previous thread but didnt get much response, so i'm asking again for advice on which of these two bikes to get. I know the Spesh is an excellent bike, but know nothing about the Focus, and neither did the guy in the bike shop today. And my problem is i cant test ride the Focus as only wiggle stock them. And getting it on a weeks trial seems like a lot of effort.

yeah i thought the differentness (is that a word?!) was a plus point, when i was stood looking at the spesh today all i could think of was all the threads on here about them and thought i might like something a bit less common. and the other plus point is the focus is about œ70 cheaper.0

I've decided that i'm probably going to try the Focus (have a week to return it if dont like it), but due to the hassle of returning it i'd like to get the correct size first time! The large frame is 19.5" and the x-large is 21.5". I'm 6'3" so which one do you think i'll need? I sat on the 19" rockhopper and it was too small, so does that mean the 19.5 focus will be too small or are they different geometry?0

If you are riding off road on difficult terrain regularily, personally I would go for the smaller size (I'm also 6'3"), but if you will be riding more roads and bridleways, then go larger and let your legs stretch

right nice one mate, it'll mainly be forests, and lake district type terrain so i'll go for the smaller one. cheers.0
