Van. RC with 650lbs spring fitted probs.
Gibbon on an Orange

So, i've fitted my new spring on my Fox Vanilla RC. It's a 650lb'er. A 50lb step up from my old one.
I've decovered a problem though. I've had to run it up at FULL rebound damping to keep it under control, but its still far too quick to spring back. I tried ringing Mojo and TF, but they're closed.
Does anybody know if a Vanilla RC can cope with a 650 spring? Or wether my shock just needs a rervice toget it running right again? Or maybe if Mojo Or TF can modify the internals to cope with the heavy spring?
Cheers guys.

Which stroke length nick? What travel is the rear of your bike?
Mine's the 2.5" stoke, running on a 7.6" travel frame.

Hm. You have a different travel ratio to me then. Maybe something that will effect it? Mines 3.04:1 IIRC, your's will be 2.3:1

Did you have to run the 600lb with a lot of rebound damping ?

Yeah, a couple of clicks off full. The 650 has pushed it beyond its standard limit it would seem.
I'm not looking forward to the œ100 bill off TF [:(]
