i was just wondering what do you guys do for insurance? i'm just about to get a bike and unsure what to do. is your bike covered through you home contents insurance when you've got the bike out and about (i'm assuming it is covered when at home in the garage), or do you need to take out special insurance for that?

I took out a policy with Cycleguard for my Faith, it works out as 15 quid a month for a year and thats in London.

Another cycleguard user here. Never claimed from them but they were by far the best when I was looking a couple of months ago. No excess but minimum claim of œ100. Works out at œ85 a year for a œ1200 bike, and covers pretty much everything (including accidental damage )
