Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with them and what they thought?

They seem to be taking a while to post my Torrent.

They are generally shit. Took 5 weeks for my bmx to turn up and they had it in stock the whole time. A mate still hasn't recieved his order, and this is 6months later.

not sure on the mail order side of things, but the 'shop' isnt much of a shop

a few things hanging on the wall, a few bits behind the counter, and a shop floor full of boxed bikes being built up, and most areas are a no go as they are full of people with telephone headsets and computers sorting the mail order side of things out

I got my Faith frame from them. They estimated it's delivery as 6 weeks due to it coming via Giant.
But it actually only took Two and a half which was a nice suprise.
Not sure whether that was due to Giant or Winstanley though.

they sometimes post straight from manufacturer, a bit like CRC do i think, so you might be lucky like yorkes above.

crap
i ordered my kona dawg off them
waited and waited and waited and it never came so i rang up and they told me it was out of stock now and they wouldnt be getting any more in but didnt think to tell me. they offered me the next years model which i took after complaining and got 10% off:). they then posted that to te wrong postal depo and it went to glasgo instead of cleveland in the northeast so took ages to come.

Comfirming they are crap.
Its a toy shop that sells bikes.
Took about six weeks of lies before they sent my order

well i was waiting for a bike for 6 months and then when i asked for my money back it took another month to get that paid into my bank
although that wasnt from winstanleys
i did order a gear or something from them and that took 6weeks to arrive, by which time i had got one elsewhere

ask a local bike shop if they can order one for you and match the price,
it might work

it really is a toy shop aswell, as mentioned

toy/pram shop with an upstairs, half of which is confined to mail order, a quarter of which has some kids bikes in, and the rest is the 'shop' area

they do have another building somewhere local to the shop which i think is their warehouse and a lot of the mail order stuff probably gets sorted there, but when i went they had a lot of people in a side room on computers
