hardtail or full susser

Hi i own a scott reflex 20 and i am hoping to send that out to les gets and get a new bike here.my dad came back yesterday saying we would need full suspension.Can any one give me advice we mainly ride xc and maybe some very mild downhill

Got a price limit? And why are you taking your XC hardtail to Les Gets?

If you plan on doing the DH tracks in Les Gets/ Morzine then full sus. Just dont skimp on summit under œ1500.
In the UK id deffo say hardtail, but France is so harsh that you need one just to get down with your joints still intact!
