Best dry weather tyres?

Before anyone mentions the tyre test in last month's MBUK, I already read it - very informative.
But before I go and buy a set of those nice Michellin jobies, any of you good folks got any recommmendations for good dry weather rubber? Specifically something which will grip well in the sandy dust to be found at Chicksands at the moment - last weekend was a tad scary!
Cheers all!

Panaracer Razers?0

Racing Ralphs, Panaracer Razors or Continental Twisters are my recommendations. The Continentals are prone to punctures however.

I would love to see a set of skinny XC race tyres on an SX Trail. Kinda defeats the point on the bike really.

You mean like the 2.3 Razors or the 2.4 racing ralphs?

Judging by his bike and where he rides (chicksands) its obvious he's after something a bit more heavy duty than XC tyres...
Id recommend Minions for sandy dust, or even Maxxis Bling Blings.

Maxxis ADvantage 2.4 is where it's at.

Thanks for the suggestions (although it's slightly accademic now since it's being peeing down for days!) To be honest I was expecting someone to suggest DMR moto's or similar, but the some of the tyres recommended in this thread look fairly similar to the Conti Gravity's I'm running at the moment. I've got a set of Diesel's too, perhaps I'll give 'em a whirl and see how I go.
Cheers!0 -
Diesels, IMO puncture really easily, and arent that good.

I'd have to go with Andrew onthe Racing Ralphs or Panaracer Razors, the ralphs do tend to slide with its loose, but i've just fitted my ralph 2.4's with a stans no tubes kit and running them that bit softer they are even more grippy and still insanely quick0

High Roller up front, Bling Bling on the rear. Loads of grip, even when its damp.
