Before i had one i thought they were mint, i came to change my hub and got a pro 2 it annoys me, it tends to attract little kids and chavs, people look at you as if your bike is broken.
thing is some they don't work better than a bell some people just ingore it due to ingorance.

If they can drown out the sound of the chain slapping against the frame then I like them.

i don't mind it. most of the time because i dont hear it, on the hardtail i'm usually pedalling like a nut job or going backwards, and on the full sus theres usually the sound of the bike rattling across rocks to drown out the sound.

My azonic is almost silent, I like it very much. My bike is pretty quiet alround to be honest. It annoys the crap out of me when we're pushing up and other peoples bikes are clicking and squeaking away

CKs are loud as hell - mate of mine and i try to "out loud" each other with his CK Classic hub and my ACS Claw freewheel; we're at round-about the same volume!
Shimano Silent hubs are terrible - i remember blowing one apart not long after getting my Scott YZ1
as Chuck D once said: "silent hubs are ga<s></s>y...BRING THA NOIZE"

I second the person who says they are anoying on push ups. That and when you have to push your bike round past people, expecialy indoors and it makes a racket of clicking and rotor rub noises.
CK trials hubs are rediculous. When they spin they have so many engagements it sounds like the tyre is rubbing off the frame. Its more of a buzz noise than a click. Ringles win the noise contest though.

my pro2 sounds like its full of bees and grasshoppers.
bring back the genteel whir of my hadley

P.s Im not doing that again.0 -
I don't get what the whole "I want my rear hub to be screaming!" is all about. If I had the money i'd go slient clutch. NINJA SKILLS!!!

My 240s hub is deadly silent. I don't really care if they click or not.

My pro2 sounds brill. I was riding past some muppets about 3 weeks ago and one of them goes "haha, his wheel is fu<u></u>cked! listen to it" then they all started laughing!
Sad thing is, even though i know it isn't, i still felt terrored.
