Carrera Kraken - What should I change?

I have a 2006 Carrera Kraken that has been used previously for freeride (don't ask) so basically the terrible old SR Suntour XTR fork is jamed so I'm changing that for some Rock Shox or something better made. I have also changed the old rear wheel (that got badly buckled on a downhill when racing a Kona Stinky '05) with a Gippemme (I think thats how to spell it) 26 spoke ultra-light one. I replaced the bottom bracket (as advised by a magazine)and am about to replace the broken pedals. But what else should I change? The components aren't all that but they do the job so I'm ok with them.
I bet your thinking 'Get a freeride bike that will take punishment' but I will only use my bike from now on on XC trails etc.
Thanks!

Bar/Stem/Seatpost are all incredibly heavy on the Kraken. So them and the forks.

Chnage the forks to rock shox that will be best bet they are sturdy and would last.0

Just change stuff as it breaks or wears out.

Tyres and wheel are always a good starting point.
Although the "new bike" comment was a little harsh but it could well work out cheaper in the long run. Especially if you've got to chance / upgrade a lot of the parts.0 -

Tyres £40, Rock Shok Tora 318, £150, decent wheels £120. £310 and you have got a very good bike, as for the seatpost, bars etc, the weight saving is negligable - go on a diet instead!

You will feel the most difference if you lose some weight from rotating parts such as wheels, tyres, tubes and even pedals.0

lo dunk can you teel me what new bottom bracket you fitted i also have a Kracken and more than happy with it0

I've had the bottom bracket on my 2006 Kracken replaced under warranty but wasn't aware there was an ongoing problem? I'd also be interested in what BB you fitted instead Dunk?
Apart from that the bikes been great. Replaced my wheels and tyres and does make a big difference!0
