Problem with e13 DRS

I have the above device fitted to my bike, but i cant get the bashring to go on. it wont clear the front derailleur and the actual device itself is in the way. Im thinking if I cut the groove away where the crank arm sits, and get some spacers to fit it, or longer bolts.can I get these bolts from anywhere? anyone done it? Or would it just be easier to leave the standard bashring on? its not a neccessity or anything, its just looks good[:)]

Have you removed the big ring, leaving you with the granny ring and middle ring ?

If so, are you mounting the bashguard in place of the big ring ?

no its on truativ hussefelt dual ring setup
Ive worked out what it is now, because the frame is a full sus, the device is up higher somehow and the device is in the way, ive ground the little lip off the device to see if that makes it better, but i need a router and make a groove round the edge, but i cant do it. so im going to leave the standard on
