So, the latest thing to generate renewable electricity, not to add to the hundreds of 100 foot wind turbines that are out off the coast of the worral and liverpool, but to build this. I mean come on, that looks pathetic.

i can't see peoples problems with it, they complain that it might affect wildlife, if they dont put it in the wildlife is still going to be affected, when its 6 foot under liquid polar ice cap.

liverpool as a city is actually quite a nice looking place by this countries standards (compare it to birmingham and its a thing of beauty), its the people that have a bad reputation and most of it is unjustified but then i would say that because i am a scouser.

there is also shed loads of work getting done on the place to modernise/spruce it up for next years capital of culture thing

Strikes me as being a lot less intrusive than the mersey project. And a hell of a lot more effective.

haha, apparently, planning permission for the river mersey project thing is going to be submitted, at the earliest in 2010, with construction finishing some time around 2020.
