Hope Headset?

I am looking for a headset to connect a Litespeed Pisgah 2006 frame to a a Fox Float RLC 2008 (set up for 100mm travel). I like the look of the Hope headset but I'm not sure about all this stack height business and whether a large stack height will lift the handlebar a lot.
1) How much does the headset stack height effect the handlebar height?
2) Is the hope headset a good choice?
Thanks

well what is the difference in stack height between another headset and the hope? how many spacers would you run under the stem? if the stack height is too big run less spacers. or use a stem with less rise. or flat bars or invert the stem.............
just get a headset fitted.

Cool, thanks. If its just a matter of adding or removing spacers I think I'll go for the Hope if thats a decent headset.0

Someone has just informed me I can get a Chris King Headset for œ70. The question now is which colour? Does anyone has pics of the pewter or silver Chris King headsets on a bike?
Thanks0 -
Hope headset all the way...6 months of extreme winter mud carving left me shaking in trepidation when I removed the headset to clean it...It was clean as a whistle in there. I couldnt believe it..
Thumbs up for the hope..just bought another to go on my hardtail..plus its an english company.

Could you not see the bit where they said Chris King, free shipping worldwide, now that would imply that you did not have to pay for it, which you don't.
And they lie about the value of it to avoid tax. On my package they said fork bearings, $8

Still œ65.48 by days exchange rate when RSU is saying he got one in the uk for œ65. Ok they hardly ever go wrong but if they do it would be far easier to send back to the uk than usa not to mention cheaper
