Problem with internet sound

I've got a problem on my computer where the sound on all internet sites doesn't work e.g. youtube, myspace. I have checked all the setting on the computer that i can think of and checked the speakers are working fine. Its strange though because the sounds on other programs like itunes and windows media player works fine. Has anyone had this happen to them or does anyone know how to sort this out because its really annoying. My internet is BT Yahoo if thats any help and the sound works on our other computers that are on the same internet connection. Thanks

Is it only not working when it's Flash trying to play music? Check it's not muted/broken.

Well, in order to view things that need the flash plugin, like YouTube videos, it will, yes.

What else would it use?

how do you change the settings for the flash plugin because i can't find it?

When the video loads right click on the screen then IIRC there should be a volume option.
