Anyone ever had one of these done?

I've got one next month and I'm not sure whether to be put to sleep for it or just have my throat numbed.

I had one, I was put to sleep and it was horrid, I threw up over the doctors hand.

The worst bit was the anaesthetic in the back of the hand, the doc couldn't find the vein and bruised my hand really badly, tried in the other hand and did the same thing then went back to the first, already bruised hand and put the needle in.

It's not a pleasant procedure but I'd definitely say be put to sleep!

My sister and brother have to have alot, they had a choice, you can be out to sleep, or you can be awake the whole time.

When you are awake they told me at first it is scary and then after that its just uncomfortable and knocks you about abit.

When you are asleep, it knocks you about a bit, and just feel groggy.
