Hi guys,
Myself and a friend are wanting to head up there the 1st weekend in August - going up on a friday afternoon, staying Friday night and saturday night and coming home sunday.
Does anyone know the best places to stay that are bike friendly?
Is it a case of paying to get in when you get there or do you book in advance?
Is a weekend the best time to go, or would it be better to go there on a sunday and come back on Tuesday?

Are you doing the uplift day?
It only runs Weds-Sun. Personally I would go in the week, the uplift is heaving at the weekend & he purposly overbooks so you can't get on every time.
Weekdays its a lot more relaxed.
If you do go at the weekend, you will have to book, and you should probably book soon, as it fills up real quick!
He is supposed to be running 2 vans & 2 trailers at the weekends soon, so it might be a bit more easy going. Im not sure if that will be up & running by then though.
Meep Meep!

Best to book as far in advance as possible as it is busy even in the week. I was there last Thursday and the bus was nearly full. Turning up and paying is a big risk! Preferance gets given to those with full day tickets. Expect to get no more than about ten runs in on one day and make sure you pad us as the course is rough and if you are a beginner you run the risk of eating dirt. In my opinion a full face helmet and body armour is sensible!0
