Im not entirely sure, but it should do. Although you will have some new drivers to install. Is your XP OEM? Cos I dont think microsoft like it when you install a new MOBO.MBUK0

i custom built my computer and bought windows so no its a retail version, a friend did something like this and he had to ring Microsoft for a new activation key, as windows recognizes the mobo or something so if you get a new one it thinks its a new computer but you ring them and you get a new activation key, i think.
im getting the Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 CPU, and this mobo http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products ... uid=123837
can you think of any other mobos around 40 that are any better than that?

well you should be ok then, XP won't need reactivating.
No idea about MOBO's. wait till someone with more 'puter knowledge comes alongMBUK0 -
technically yes you might need to re-activate, but quite possibly you will end up not. It is all a bit random.
