Thats been for over a year, do you "go and catch up" with your ex on a regular sort of basis after you've left them?

I did for the 9 months we were apart saw her maybe twice a month.

One GF I went out with gor a few years (2/3 IIRC.. length of relationship not age) And never saw her again. (although saw her mum a few weeks ago [:0]) Second one (3 years) I saw on a twice weekly basis as we have child.

None of my relationships, minus my current one, have been long term really but all the lads I've had "things" with i still talk to all of them apart from one really, I'm still really good mates with one or two.

Same here. My relationship with Mat's the only long term one I've had, but then again it's been on for three years so I wasn't exactly old enough to have gone through a lot of long terms. Still speak to some of my 'exes', but as they didn't mean alot to me it doesn't feel very odd. I can imagine it feeling strange when you've actually been in love with someone!

I promised myself I wouldn't ever.. but here we go..(MySpace)

I went out with my last girlfriend for like 3 and a half years. We broke up about 4 months ago, and i have had no contact with her since. She wants to keep in touch, but I'm not really sure if thats a good idea or if I want to.
She's a nice person, but sometimes its just easier to hate them. After all, she didn't put in half the amount of effort I was into the relationship. She has another boyfriend now as well, so I'm not sure how I'd react or what I'd say of i did ever see her. I'm not really annoyed about it, she's the kind of girl that just drifts from relationship into new relationship. She may or may not have cheated on me as well, she says she didn't, but she has lied before and everyone else seems to think she did. God now I'm thinking about it again, but like i said, its far easier to hate them and move to pastures green.

my last relationship lasted 3 years and ended when she cheated on me, i have forgiven her and we keep in touch to a point, but its only half hearted in some respects because she is still with the guy she went with behind my back, and quite frankly i think i have every right to still feel like i was kicked in the balls over it tbh

Me and the ex kept in touch for about 3 years after we split ...until i got a serious thing going with someone else...then i stopped calling. Then she got a serious thing , and she stopped calling me.
Go figure.
Its definatley the only reason i kept in touch.

but if I was with a new girl and still bumming the ex , that wouldnt be fair on anyone involved. And i would have to make a decision.
